Rise and shine! Are you ready to kick your sluggish mornings to the curb? We have some great tips to keep you focused and organized so you can slash through that To-Do-List before the day is over…and still leave time for fun!

1. Rise with the sun

We’ve all heard it before- “the early bird gets the worm.” No matter how much we want to roll our eyes as the cliche and hit that snooze button one more time, that little birdy has the right idea! There are only so many hours in a day, so what better way to be productive than to utilize every hour you can? Set your alarm for the a.m. and make sure to get to bed at a decent hour the night before!

2. Make a plan

The day before, map out a plan of attack. Write down everything you need to get done. Throw in some things that aren’t a huge priority so you can tackle them if you find yourself with extra time. Rearrange your tasks by location so you can conquer multiple tasks in the same area of town. Keep in mind, even the most detailed plans can fizzle. If you get all the way to the dry cleaner’s and they’ve decided to be closed for repairs today – don’t sweat it! The plan is there to keep you organized and give your day a simple structure.


3. Fuel up

No one wants their stomach rumbling while they’re trying to conquer the day! Make sure to start your day with a healthy and filling breakfast, such as a piece of fruit with eggs or Greek yogurt with granola. This will not only fuel you for the day, but also keep you from wandering into the closest drive-thru. If your errands might take a little longer than breakfast will tide you over – pack some snacks. Almonds, a banana, protein bars and string cheese are all easy car snack ideas that will keep you going strong.

4. Get a good start

A simple way to feel like you can conquer any day is to get moving! Start your day with a workout and be ready to feel the results. Whether it’s a brisk 15 minute walk or an hour lifting sesh, you’ll be glad you did it. Not only is it going to get your blood pumping and give you all of those lovely endorphins, but it will help you focus and boom – one task off of the checklist already.


5. Hydrate

You have a lot to do today, and we don’t want anything to get in the way of that! It’s crucial to drink plenty of water in order to keep your body running efficiently. Pack a water bottle with you and add sips to your checklist if you think you’ll need reminding!

6. Treat Yourself

Now here’s the fun part. Once you’ve accomplished all of your honey-doos, it’s time to reward yourself for all of your hard work! You can set your rewards as big or as small as you want. Treat yourself to a healthy lunch out, reward yourself to a mini-spa day at home, or buy that cute new sundress you can’t get out of your head! You’ve earned it!
